Buying 101

  • How are you paying for your new home? Do you need a mortgage?

  • Get  pre-qualified and pre-approved

  • Choose an experienced agent in the area

  • Ask your agent and banker about the closing costs and be aware of the Mansion Tax in New York!

  • Start looking for homes with an experienced professional who can tell you what to look for and watch for

  • You found a home! I will suggest an offer number based on data and experience.

  • I will check the town records to make sure all permits are there, CO's etc., I will do my due diligence and confirm taxes.

  • Make an offer and choose and inspector and a Real Estate Attorney. I will negotiate best terms for you.

  • Accepted Offer! I will prepare the Purchasing Memo with all required information and suggest an inpection

  • Attorneys will draft contract

  • Fully Executed Contract

  • Appraisal if Mortgage is needed, will be done

  • Get your commitment letter from your mortgage broker

  • Let's close on your new home
